Turmeric Pepper Omelette- Helps Reduce Inflammation

You will never guess what I did.

Today I got creative in the kitchen and made a Turmeric Pepper Omelette.

I added the Turmeric and Pepper because Turmeric is clinically proven to help reduce inflammation. It contains Curcumin, which is the main active ingredient in Turmeric. I always add Black Pepper when using Turmeric because it contains piperine, which helps enhance the absorption of the cucumin.

You can add whatever you like to your omelette, anything  healthy that is! This is a Vegetarian Omelette however you can easily chop up some bacon or add salmon if you wish.

I also added Cayenne Pepper because it is also proven to be beneficial in helping reduce inflammation, assists digestion, detoxification and supports weight loss.

The ingredients that I used are as follows:

2 x eggs from my own chickens!

1 tsp Turmeric

1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Handful chopped Mushrooms

Handful chopped Red Pepper (Capsican)

Handful Green Pepper (Capsican)

1/2 Red Onion chopped

Handful Baby Spinach

Handful Grated Cheese (Optional)

Knob of Butter for the pan

Season to taste with Salt and Pepper if needed.

Parsley for Garnish

Tomato Chuckney or Salsa (Optional

What to do:

Add the Turmeric, Black Pepper and Cayenne Pepper to the 2 eggs and whisked them all together.

Heat the fry pan with a knob of butter.

Add the veggies and gently fry for a minute or two.

Gently add the egg mix over the veggies and ensure it covers the whole pan.

Cook on a very low heat until cooked on bottom and slightly runny on the top.

Remove from heat and place under the grill for 1 minute until the top starts to raise a little and is no longer runny. Remove from grill and it should look like this…

Remove from heat and serve onto a plate. I like to fold mine in half, it makes it easier to get out of the pan.

Garnish wih Parsley and Tomato Chuckny or Salsa (Optional)
